Vision and Tradition DWM 2018

Visión y Tradición
DWM 2018

“Visión & Tradición” is a Design Week México Project that aims to generate a link between creative activities and platforms for the diffusion of new co-creation methodologies, reflecting through the objects the cultural exchange of collaborative work between Artisans and Designers.

At Tributo we are very honored to participate this year 2018 as one of the host brands in “Vision & Tradición” project of Design Week Mexico.

We welcomed to the beautiful state of Michoacán Mauricio Lara and Jasna Sokolovic & Noel O’Connell from Dear Human to work in two traditional workshops selected by us to live the tributo experience through the appreciation of cultural heritage, local materials and artisanship.

The city of Pátzcuaro, Michocán was the base of our trip from where we understand the historical, cultural and geographical context of the artisanal techniques and their production.

From Patzcuaro we travel to the towns of Ihuazio to the woven workshop of Chuspata and to the town of Cuanajo to the Talla de Madera workshop.

The work resulting from this collaboration between Artisans and Designers will be shown during Design Week México 2018 in the emblematic “Museo Nacional de Antropolgía e Historia” who will receive a design exhibition for the first time in its history.

Tributo + Mauricio Lara con Mario Casimiro en Cuanajo, Michoacán.
Tributo + Dear Human con Rogelio Rojas en Iguazio, Michoacán.
