Michoacán, México, 2018.
For the stools series Dear Human chose the most solid weaving technique, cadena, across all of the forms. However, this stool series undermines solidity of form with exposed skeletal accents. The gridded metal armatures are essential in creating three-dimensional forms with the material, but are typically not exposed. With both designs, their intent was to hint at the hidden aspects of the process which is only apparent if one visits the workshop and the maestro and sees the works in progress.
